First of all a great big thank you to Linda & Bob Clickner for opening their house to host a wonderful Mardi Gras last Saturday, February 9. The evening was a great success.
Our next monthly event is the Winter Dance that will take place on Tuesday, February 26 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall at Lake Ella. Please let Annelise know at aleysieffer@gmail.com if you are planning to attend to get an idea of how many places to reserve. Upon entering the hall, please tell them that you are with the Faculty & Friends Club to receive the discounted rate of $5. You can purchase beverages there. Will somebody please help with refreshments for our group?

Danny Taylor, a student at FSU, will be talking about his life as “an army brat” in Germany, about how it was living in Germany, what he learned to appreciate and what he found difficult.

Please mark your calendar for the first Digital Photo Group meeting this year: Sunday, February 24, 2:00-4:00 p.m. The place of the meeting is still tentative, but will soon be announced next week.
We are especially fortunate to have Ryals Lee, a professional photographer from F.S.U., to meet with us to talk about digital photography. He has many years of experience, taking photos of sporting events, meetings and special occasions. Feel free to bring your camera to the meeting to get more hands-on instruction, if you wish. Outdoors Explorers – Saturday, March 2, 10:30 a.m.
Meet at the Wakulla County Welcome Center at 10:30 a.m or go directly at 11:30 a.m. or so to the home of Pat & Mike Meredith on the Ochlocknee Bay. As usual, bring a dish to share for a potluck meal. Lunch is to be followed by a hike for the ones who would like to get some exercise.
