The outdoor explorer group participates in one-day field trips to a variety of coastal and inland venues within the Tallahassee vicinity . These have included a number of nearby state parks, wildlife refuges and forests as well as other interesting outdoor locales..  Typical  activities  include hiking , wildlife observation , .beach combing,  boat rides, and group lunches. Often our visits are enriched by presentation of background information by Rangers or other local experts.
