We must thank our president Linda Clickner and her husband Bob for hosting the delightful and extremely well attended Mardi Gras on Saturday, February 21. Their house was beautifully decorated throughout, and most members arrived festively dressed for the evening. Go to our website and look at the great event photos taken by Neil Charness. Thanks to all for bringing food and making this evening such a delightful one for all.
We had originally planned to meet Tuesday, March 17 at the American Legion Hall for St. Patrick’s Day. Since so many cannot attend, we will not be going as a group, but by all means go dance there any Tuesday evening or simply go enjoy listening to the music.

Scholarship update for Spring 2015. Three of our eight scholarship recipients from the fall graduated in December. The remaining five students have been awarded scholarships for a total of $2050. The amounts for spring vary, depending upon number of credits. These awardees are often working while taking classes, some full time, and many have families. They are all extremely grateful for our financial help. We thank all who have graciously donated to this wonderful cause, and again thank Larry Giunipero and Bill Hillison for working so diligently together with me with the Bowlegs Race to add to the funds collected each year for this wonderful and worthwhile cause. Without their dedication, the race would not be such a success each year for the past 31 years.
Best regards to all at this beautiful time of the year with the trees and bushes opening up with such speed now that spring has arrived.
