Members generally meet in private homes on a Tuesday each month at 7:00 p.m. The interest group provides great fellowship with a new emphasis begun a few years ago. At their October 8 meeting a few years ago , they presented 75 baby blankets to a TMH neonatal nurse. They are now year-round making fleece blankets for the Christmas Connection as well as other needy groups. Their baby blankets was their project that past year… beautifully made of wonderfully soft flannel. They also make items to help neonatal babies and Alzheimer’s patients including baby caps for newborn babies. For 2017 we gave 16 -20 large fleece blankets to the Christmas Connection 2017. In 2018 we added even more, including smaller fleece blankets for children. If anybody wishes to make more at home, they are so easy to make. The fleece comes in bags of two at Joann’s Fabric on Thomasville Road. Then when finished, please bring them to Cherie.
