Welcome to the 75th Year of the University Club of FSU. This is going to be a very exciting year for our Club. I hope to see all of you during the year, especially at the Welcoming Reception and our Gala 75th Anniversary Banquet on January 26th. Look for articles about the University Club of the Florida State University in STATE and in TALLAHASSEE Magazine.
Since 1926, The University Club of FSU has been an integral part of campus life. Many of us enjoyed the companionship of members from all over campus. If it hadn’t been for the many and varied activities of the University Club of FSU, many of us would never have met. Our interest groups are a vital source of friendship; it is sometimes much easier meeting new people in smaller groups. The Globetrotters and Restaurant Roulette are but a few of the many choices we have to meet new and old members.
The Welcoming Reception will be held on Friday, September 8 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. in Beth Moor Lounge in the Longmire Building; Natholyn Harris, our vice President, has made the arrangements. This will be an excellent opportunity for new members as well as present members to sign up for interest groups of their choice, pay their membership dues and, most important, to see old friends and make new friends. Let us make this 75th year truly special by bringing a new member to the FSU faculty or A&P staff and introduce them to our Club.
